The 60 metres race is the ultimate treat of every athletics competition. A supreme test of the “fastest human” indoors, pure and raw explosiveness, with results decided in less than seven seconds – all of this makes this discipline of the “queen of sports” truly unique.

One of only eight meetings in the world holding Golden status in the World Athletics calendar, the Belgrade Indoor Meeting, will take place on 11 February 2026 at the Athletics Hall in Banjica. The event will gather the very elite of competitive athletics, including world champions and global medalists. Among them, spectators will witness true adrenaline aces – athletes racing against time and themselves, sprinters who, regardless of the final result, are always winners, and bearers of the title of the fastest people on the planet.

A special attraction will be the appearance of some of the fastest women in the world in the 60 metres and 60 metres hurdles. It will be an opportunity to watch the world’s quickest women in their quest for the throne of the golden Belgrade athletics meeting.

On the starting line will be the remarkable Italian sprinter Zainab Dosso, the reigning European Indoor Champion from the Apeldoorn 2025 European Indoor Championships, where she clocked 7.01 seconds. She is also the World Indoor silver medalist from the 2025 World Indoor Championships in China, with a time of 7.06 seconds.

The Athletics Hall in Banjica will also host Sade McCreath of Canada, who won the gold medal with the Canadian relay team in the first-ever mixed 4×100 metres relay at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Guangzhou. Her personal best in the 60 metres is 7.28 seconds.

British sprinter Amy Hunt will also present herself to the Belgrade athletics audience. Hunt won silver in the 4×100 metres relay at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as well as silver in the 200 metres at the 2025 World Athletics Championships. She holds the world record in the women’s U18 200 metres, set in June 2019 with a time of 22.42 seconds.

Australian sprinter Tori Lewis will also be part of the 60 metres battle in Belgrade. She is a World U20 silver medalist and a multiple Australian national champion in the 100 and 200 metres. In September 2025, she set a new Australian national record in the 100 metres with a time of 11.08 seconds.

The colours of Serbia in the women’s 60 metres will be defended by Milana Tirnanić, Serbia’s national champion.

In the 60 metres hurdles, spectators will watch renowned American hurdler Grace Stark. At the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, she won the bronze medal with a time of 12.34 seconds, after finishing fifth at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and at the 2025 World Indoor Championships. Stark also secured victory in the women’s 100 metres hurdles at the 2025 Shanghai Diamond League, setting a meeting record of 12.42 seconds.

Serbia will be represented in the 60 metres hurdles by Anja Lukić and Milica Emini.
Anja Lukić is the Serbian national indoor record holder in the 60 metres hurdles with a time of 8.06 seconds.

Strong competition and thrilling races are also expected in the men’s events. In the men’s 60 metres, spectators will watch European Indoor Champion Samuele Ceccarelli of Italy.
Serbia will be represented by Strahinja Jovančević and Aleksa Kijanović.

A true sports festival lies ahead. The 11th edition of the Belgrade Indoor Meeting, taking place on 11 February, will once again bring together numerous world stars, holders of global medals, records – personal and national – and proud representatives of their countries.
