Ivana ŠPANOVIĆ (SRB) Triple Jump Women 14.27
I am satisfied, in the sense that I won and broke the meeting record. I can say that again, even though I wasn’t at the level I expected, because I was physically good, but triple jump is different compared to long jump, as it requires you to be technically capable at every possible level that day, so that mistakes don’t occur. The most important thing for me is that I am healthy and not afraid to compete, that I am not afraid to run or jump. This is also kind of a nice preview for everything that comes next.
Audrey WERRO(CH) 800M Women 1:57.27
It’s really a great reward, because I train hard this winter and I felt like really ready to do a big time today. So I’m really happy with the time. And also, with the atmosphere here it’s really perfect
Roger STEEN (USA) Shot Put Men 22.07m
The second time being here in Belgrade, I really like it here. It’s a very fun meet. The series started out a little slow, but then consisted in the middle, and was able allowed me to kind of hit a big one in round 6 and kind of just let it go, which was great perfect.
WIND Joceline (CH) 1500m Women 4:08.87 MR
I think for tonight, I was maybe hoping for a bit of a faster time, but like, as in any race, you have to take the conditions that you have. And I think I felt from pretty early on in the race that the pace felt fairly comfortable.
So I figured okay, I can still close strong. And I think towards the second half of the race, I started to realize okay, it’s going to be difficult to catch up the time to still run very strong. But I decided to run then for the win.
To really attack pretty early on earlier than what I usually do I expected there to be more of a fine, I figured maybe if there is a fight, the time will be even better. And I’m very happy that at the end I was able to take the win and that the time was also my second best time indoors. So I’m very happy about tonight’s race in Belgrade!
Jakub SZYMANSKI (POL) 60m Hurdles Men 7.43 EL,MR
I thought I would run about 7.45, but today I ran my race. I solved all the puzzles, and the result is European. So guys, I’m thankful, and I would like to have more, but it will be closer to the Indoor World Championships, indoor, yeah.
Zaynab DOSSO (ITA) 60m Women 7.02 EL,MR
The race was technical. I have only one job to do: RUN. And without see nothing, because we still work for World Championships, so I have more to do again. So I’m happy to say that I was fast. I love Belgrade a lot!
ILLOVSZKY Dominik (HUN) 60m Men 6.52 MR
You know, we have to be very prepared. Anything can happen, so yeah. I’m trying to stay focused, and it actually happened. I’m really happy! This is my first time in Belgrade, and it’s a very, very happy time, so yeah. It’s a really great competition!
SARABOYUKOV Bozhidar (BGR) Long Jump Men 8.45m WL
I’m extremely happy with this jump. 8.45 meters and the world lead — it’s an amazing feeling. I came to Belgrade believing I was in great shape, but to produce a performance like this so early in the season gives me a lot of confidence.
The atmosphere here was fantastic, and I felt the energy from the crowd on every attempt. This result shows that the work my team and I have been putting in is paying off.
But this is just the beginning. My goal is to stay consistent, keep improving, and be ready for the major championships. Tonight was special, but I know I can still go further.
TOPIĆ Angelina (SRB) High Jump Women 1.96 MR
It’s a wonderful feeling to win again in Belgrade — for the second time in front of my home crowd. The energy of the local fans always gives an extra boost, and I hope there will be many more competitions here.
Today I wasn’t at the level of my personal best from Poland due to some minor issues with my run-up and a muscle problem, but nothing serious. The main goal now is the World Championships in Poland in a month.
I’d love for this season to be the one where I break my personal best and hopefully get close to the two-metre mark — if not now, then during the outdoor summer season.
